Reinier G Bonachea
Was born in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba. His musical journey started at the tender age of 7 years old and continues till he graduates on top of his class from the Ernesto Lecuona Conservatory of Music. He then moves to Habana where he starts his career as a professional musician, playing for the best orchestras of the country, such as, David Albares, Juego de Mano, Leoni Torres, Climax, JG y Su Groupo and El Nino y La Verdad, among others.
This excellent trumpet player has shared the stage with big names, with the likes of Omara Portuondo, Candido Fabre, Polito Ibanez, Paulo FG, Yeni, Van Van, David Blanco and Alexander Abreu etc, during the time he lived in Cuba.
In 2015he started working on new projects with the extraordinary singer and composer Lisett Morales “La Mulata del Sabor” and one year later they recorded their first album together “Puro Sabor” 2016, inspired by most of the Cuban rhythms and fresh lyrics written by Lisett Morales and musically arranged and produced by Bonachea.

This excellent musician, arranger and musical producer has performed in the national e international festivals all over the world such as North Sea Jazz Festival, International Jazz Montreal Festival, Chicago Fest, Miami Salsa Congress, Cumbre Tajin Mexico, among others. His great talent has allowed him to be one of the trumpet players most acclaimed by the great international stars of Salsa, such as Oscar d’ Leon, Jose Alberto el Canario, Issac Delgado, Albita Rodriguez, Alain Perez and Willy Chirino.
In 2012 he does his first international tour in Canada where he participated in jazz festivals in Toronto, Montreal and London, Ontario.
In 2014 he travels to Cancun, Mexico to play in popular Salsa Festivals throughout the country. He then moves to Mexico City where he begins to play for the prestigious Orchestra Internacional Sonora Dinamita and tours the country with them.
On February 24th of 2015, Reinier arrives in Miami where he has played with many orchestras from many different countries, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Puerto Rico.

In 2019, after the big success with “Puro Sabor”, this extraordinary Salsa singer and this virtuoso Cuban Trumpeter returned with a new Album: “Otra Oportunidad”, a masterpiece that contains an interesting musical amalgam, where traditional and popular Cuban music is fused with Caribbean and modern rhythms, achieving a new proposal, which is relevant to today’s generations, with a current sound but which at the same time pays homage to it’s Cuban cultural roots. This album, produced by the great trumpeter and music producer Reinier Bonachea, includes eight songs written by the excellent singer-songwriter Lisett Morales and features the collaboration of two great Cuban artists: Mayito Rivera “El poeta de la Rumba” and Sonero Adonis Puentes. This production was recorded in Miami and Colombia, with the participation of extraordinary musicians like: Luis Arroyo “Lucho”, Dante Vargas, Reinier Guerra, Daniel Berroa, José Velasquez, Yorgis Goiricelaya, Daniel Stable, Livan Mesa, Andy Guzman, Yosmel Garceran, Julio Montalvo, Adanyer Guzman, Juan Manuel Jiménez, Luis Bel trán and Sapo Tercero.
In 2021 Reinier Bonachea recorded his first official Latin Jazz Album “Primicia”
This production has seven songs, of which six are of his authorship:
“Primicia”, “El Jazz en el Son” Feat Lisett Morales, “Una Noche en la Habana” Feat Yosmel Garceran, “Reily”, “All the Things You Are”, “Cimarrón” & “Contraste” Feat Reinier Guerra.
“Primicia” is a work of art that evokes the richness of Cuban genres rhythms such as Son, Afro-Cuban Jazz, Timba, Rumba and Cha Cha Cha, fused with Pop, Jazz and Samba and has been recorded by Luis Arroyo “Lucho”, Michael Fernandez, Reinier Guerra, Yosmel Garceran, Chegui Calderon, Alex Morales & Daniel Berroa.
