A life without selfishness
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.
Philippians 2:3 (NIV)
World Changer: This has to be the heart of a born again Christians that has turned into a disciple of Christ. That is how the Apostle Paul teaches us when he explains that we should live consoling ourselves in love and in communion with the Holy Spirit, full of mercy with our neighbor, walking with joy and proclaiming the love of God, unanimous with one another, participating in a spirit of humility and meekness.
Because that is the legacy that Jesus left us during His life here on earth, showing how great His love is for us that He stripped His form of God and came as a servant similar to men and being a man continued to humiliate Himself and made obedient to death on the cross of Calvary. Therefore God His Father raised Him from the dead and gave Him a name above all names, so that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven, on earth and under the earth.
We also if we proclaim ourselves children of God, we have to strip ourselves of all sin and pride with which we come to the feet of Christ, and the only way is by dying on the cross and allowing His risen life to dwell in us to manifest in our testimony the character of Christ, who abhors selfishness and living for oneself.
*Only God’s grace can take us in that process of holiness, freeing us of the old man that is vitiated in sin and of course in the selfishness of this world, but for the love of God, He has made us free from our old life and our heritage of curse.
Today is the day of salvation (Romans 10:8-13). Christ in us our hope of glory and our world-changing victory (Colossians 1:27, 1 Corinthians 15:10-57). Hallelujah.
